CALL TO ORDER

6:18 PM The Budget Hearing was called to order by Supervisor Martin. An explanation of the proposed budget and how a budget hearing is to be conducted was provided by Supervisor Martin. Those in attendance were advised that they could ask questions or make comments concerning the budget

Trustees Wilbrink and Williams, Clerk Gaffner, Supervisor Martin and Treasurer Eyster.

ABSENT

Trustees Hayes and Wright

PUBLIC COMMENT

6:22 PM The hearing was opened for public comment.

Bob Hanna, expressed his appreciation to the Township for past contributions to the Williamston Area Senior Center and the fact that the Senior Center was included in the 2009-2010 budget.

Rod Imhoff, questioned the percentage increase for the deputy staff and was advised by Supervisor Martin that some job descriptions were eliminated and the amount formerly allocated to the additional job descriptions was now included in the monies allocated to the deputy staff.

John Kennedy, asked how the new budget numbers compared with the last budget and also whether or not the Township anticipated a decrease in revenues.

6:36 PM Moved by trustee Williams with a second by treasurer Eyster, to close the public hearing.

Motion passed unanimously
